The Town of Hilton Head Island is a unique and special place, but at the same time, it faces many challenges. Peter knows the challenges and the issues.

We need to continue to find ways to meet today’s needs without compromising the needs of future generations. Respect the past and plan for the future.
<OtherInformation>Hilton Head Island is a special place, and I’m committed to preserving its heritage and quality of life.</OtherInformation><StrategicPlanCore><Organization>
PK<Identifier>_2f6a0246-fa0a-11ea-a46b-8ed71583ea00</Identifier>
Peter Kristian makes his home in the Jarvis-Jonesville area of Ward One off of Spanish Wells Road with his wife Chrissy, daughter Madison and their two cats Lulu and Toni. Peter has called Hilton Head Island home for more than 20 years. He has four children and seven grandchildren. Peter has been actively involved in the community from day one and currently volunteers as chairman of Hilton Head Island’s Planning Commission.

As the general manager of Hilton Head Plantation, he has been working with the property owners to determine the next steps for their community, including its name and the use of the word “plantation.” While Hilton Head Island has a long history, some of that history is sullied and many folks find the word “plantation” to be a reminder of the era of slavery.

Peter has also worked on other serious issues such as hurricane recovery. Through his experience working with the community through hurricane recovery, he knows what policies need to be in place for the town to continue its excellent history of hurricane preparedness and recovery. He also knows that these policies need to be expanded to include the smaller communities, especially those located in Ward One.
And, Peter knows that while the Town of Hilton Head Island is a unique and special place, it faces many challenges. Peter knows the challenges and the issues.
<Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person">

Treasurer
</Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person">

Campaign Manager
</Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Organization">

</Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group">

Residents are the customers of the Town Council — customer service needs to be at the forefront of all that we do.
