He has worked on sustainability issues for more than 8 years. He has been part of the Costa Rican delegation in the climate change negotiations since COP20-COP23. She was the founder and coordinator of the Un Techo Para Mi País Environmental Plan (2010-2012).
He is currently completing his Master's thesis in Environmental Studies, Cities and Sustainability in Europe, through a joint program with universities in Denmark, Portugal, Spain and Germany. His Master's thesis is a case study of adaptation to climate change in cities, as part of a project with the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) and Columbia University.
He has a Bachelor of Administration of Non-Formal Education (University of Costa Rica) focused on environmental processes and has a Bachelor of Environmental Management (National University). He has had multiple specialization courses nationally and internationally. He is passionate about sustainable cities, social empowerment and adaptation to climate change.FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTORSofia CorralesSofia is in her last year at the University of Costa Rica, she entered the career of Collective Communication with an emphasis on Audiovisual Production with the aim of telling stories and transmitting messages that impact and generate positive changes in our society. Since 2012, he has been part of the audiovisual laboratory of investigative documentary work at the School of Biology and Philosophy (LAUDI) of the University of Costa Rica, here he has been part of projects such as "La Caja de Pandora", "Rodeo Jaguar" and "El Jardín Toxic". In 2013, along with three companions, he received an honorable mention at the Armando Alfaro Pre -iste Prize of the College of Journalists for the mini-documentary "The Lord of the Chupas". He is currently part of the staff of the Music for Inclusion program of the UCR Channel and works as an independent in photography, video and design projects. Music and the sea are his other passions.COORDINATORJosé Daniel MadrigalJosé Daniel is a graduate of the Bachelor of Political Science with a Concentration in Global Affairs from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. During the same, he also studied in London and Santiago de Chile. The following academic destinations for José Daniel are Paris and Beijing, cities from which he hopes to learn the most in human security and development strategy.
He was Delegate to the United Nations Youth Assembly in 2018, held by the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. He also participated in the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations at Harvard University. In both experiences, he was able to focus on the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Goals and are, to this day, a great source of motivation for his projects, both professional and personal.
He has participated in different types of volunteers and graduates, which he values and strongly recommends. The optimization of public space, accountability, cerebral palsy and professional ethics have been some of the causes to which he has given his effort.
