The committee is supported through the Agency's Strategic Goal 4: Healthy Communities and Ecosystems, Objective 3- Protect, sustain and restore the health of natural habitats and ecosystems. Efforts by this Committee structure support the Gulf Program activities and will continue to underpin the Gulf States Governors' Alliance and the five-year Action Plan II of specific challenges designed to enhance the environmental and economic health of the Gulf of Mexico.
