My roots within the community run as deep as they do wide. My father, Charles Perry, founded the Island Rec Center, owned a business that employed many Islanders, and was a fixture at the RBC Heritage. ^^I have carried on my father’s legacy of service to the community, currently serving as vice chair of the Town of Hilton Head Island Planning Commission, chairman of the Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and announcer at the RBC Heritage.^^My family legacy is directly associated with my ambitions for the future prosperity of the Island. I raised my two sons here, and now they each have thriving careers and have returned to this special place. ^^My wife Kathy also grew up here, a 3rd-grade teacher at Hilton Head Island Elementary school. Kathy’s father was Hilton Head’s first Fire Chief – again, our roots run deep. Just as my family and I have lived, worked, and served the community, I am ready to be YOUR MAYOR.</OtherInformation><StrategicPlanCore><Organization><Name>Alan Perry for Mayor</Name><Acronym>AP4M</Acronym><Identifier>_1e815c72-3775-11ed-a74f-94f3f382ea00</Identifier><Description/><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Organization"><Name>Hilton Head Island</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Alan Perry</Name><Description>Candidate for Mayor, Hilton Head Island ~ Alan Perry was born in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1965 to his parents, Charles and Patsy Perry.
