This enhanced data understanding supports theexchange of data models and messages and increases theability to integrate applications both within the enterprise and withtrading partners. These trends go beyond exchange or updatesof network models to the exchange of specific dynamic datawithin transactional messages in a real-time environment.The CIM companion standards provide various API services andcomponent interface specifications that, when used inconjunction with the CIM models, provide a framework for theexchange of static models, transactional messages and fullenterprise integration.
