We have been part of numerous projects with organizations (consultancies, communications agencies, NGOs, and more), and we are always looking for impactful projects to support.Pablo ValenzuelaPartner Chile ~ Pablo is a lawyer with a passion for designing collective solutions to development challenges, to achieve dignity, justice, and well-being for all. ^^ He has been working on social projects for over 15 years, and has supported indigenous groups, vulnerable young people, informal settlements and other marginalized groups. While working on participatory projects, Pablo realized that the technology in this area was outdated and processes weren’t transparent and harder to track. ^^ He joined forces with Magdalena to develop a tool to streamline citizen participation. They named it “adengun”, which means “a meeting of roads” in the indigenous Mapuche language. Soon after doing the necessary research, they discovered CitizenLab and are now our longest standing partners!Søren KielgastPartner Denmark ~ Søren has been CitizenLab’s sole partner in Denmark since September 2019, handling both marketing, sales and GovSuccess. After 2 ½ years of close collaboration, he has so far implemented CitizenLab’s digital citizen engagement platform in 25 municipalities and public organizations, as well as a few municipalities in Norway and Greenland. ^^ Before joining CitizenLab Søren worked as management consultant for 15 years, including 3 years as Country Manager, in Denmark, for 'La Ruche qui dit Oui'. ^^ He has also acted as a CEO for a seed venture company and technology incubator owned by The Danish Technological Institute, who invested public and private money to promising startups.Magdalena Gatica MonteroPartner Chile & Latin America ~ Magdalena is an architect and urban planner (PUC de Chile) and holds an MSc in Development, Planning, and Administration (The Bartlett, UCL UK). ^^ She has worked in: public and private organizations, including NGOs and universities; on projects and studies of infrastructure, neighborhood improvement, social housing, post-disaster reconstruction, and citizen participation. These experiences helped her participate in new urban challenges in Chile. ^^ Since 2017, she has focused on the inclusive integration of the migrant population, working as a consultant for Acnur, and inclusion from a democratic perspective. ^^ Magdalena is a partner of Territorio Común, a representative of CitizenLab in Chile and Latin America, encouraging governments to innovate and develop new inclusive public policies.GoranPartner Serbia ~ Goran is Director of Project Development at Headmade – an independent agency specialized in providing services in the area of strategic communications. Headmade conducts its business operations from the Republic of Serbia, and is also present in the markets of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. ^^ Goran has undertaken research on different online participation methods in urban planning. His Ph.D. thesis „New Horizons in Urban Planning: Internet as participatory space“, highlights the main advantages of blockchain technology as a basis for participatory platforms that create inclusive communities and improve the quality of life in cities and local communities. ^^ Headmade joined CitizenLab as a partner because the whole team recognized the sincere devotion to the improvement of democracy and quality of life in local communities. In addition, the innovation as one of the core principles of CitizenLab, along with the powerful platform which is constantly evolving, is a clear signal that the company creates the foundation for a better future for all society.Artur KacprzakPartner Poland ~ Artur is paving the way for digital engagement in Poland and CitizenLab’s platform provides an opportunity to strengthen local democracies. ^^ Before partnering with CitizenLab, Artur spent most of my time on development cooperation and programming. With colleagues, Artur created Eastbook.eu, a project which aimed to spread democratic values by moderating dialogue between EU member states and Eastern Partnership countries. ^^ Artur relishes being part of the passionate CitizenLab team, who have already spent over half a decade on improving engagement and participation in local democracies.
