It will take long term focus and new ways of working together.</Description><OtherInformation>FUELING BREAKTHROUGHS -- Our initial priorities are science and education, two areas in which systemic barriers prevent individuals from reaching their potential. Can today's children learn and experience 100 times more than we did? Can we eliminate suffering by helping to cure, prevent or manage the diseases that affect us today? We believe the answer is yes.</OtherInformation><StrategicPlanCore><Organization><Name>Chan Zuckerberg Initiative</Name><Acronym>CZI</Acronym><Identifier>_1d4f3dfa-4352-11e7-8abd-db5eb72d4253</Identifier><Description/><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Leaders from Academia</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Leaders from Government</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Leaders from the Technology Sector</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Leaders from the Nonprofit Sector</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Nonprofit Entities</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>For Profit Entities</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>Non-Governmental Research Institutions</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>CZI Leaders</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Brian Pinkerton, PhD</Name><Description>CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER -- Brian Pinkerton leads the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s efforts to build a world-class engineering team that will help tackle the greatest challenges in science, education and other areas.
