While still in college, Loully interned at the White House National Economic Council, Office of Science &amp; Technology Policy, and U.S. Department of State. She brings to this role deep experience working on both sides of the science-policy nexus, including as a fellow at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under the Obama Administration and as a member of multiple policy committees for President Biden's 2020 campaign. Hannah currently chairs the Natural Resources Commission for the City of Davis, CA, and is a core member of the COVID-19 wastewater-surveillance team for Healthy Davis Together. She holds a B.S.E. in Chemical and Biological Engineering, an M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources, and an M.P.A. in Public and International Affairs, all from Princeton University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at UC Davis.</Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Ishan Sharma</Name><Description>Project Advisor ~ Ishan Sharma is a Project Advisor for the Day One Project. Ishmael holds an M.A. in Learning Technologies from Pepperdine University, M.S. in Reading and English as a Second Language from Concordia University of Nebraska, B.A. in Early Childhood Education &amp; Elementary Education from Peru State College, and B.I.S. in Business and Mass Communications from Arizona State University.</Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Lindsay Milliken</Name><Description>Policy Analyst for Science, Technology, and Innovation ~ Lindsay Milliken is a Policy Analyst for Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Federation of American Scientists. Previously, she worked as a Legislative Research Assistant at Lewis-Burke Associates, a government relations firm specializing in science policy and higher education. Lindsay received her BA in Political Science with a minor in Physics from American University in Washington, DC. During her time at AU, she worked at the National Association of Biomedical Research, which supports the humane use of animal models in medical research. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, high skill immigration policy, and finding creative ways to support evidence-based policymaking on Capitol Hill.</Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Michael A. Fisher</Name><Description>Senior Fellow ~ Mike Fisher is a Senior Fellow with the Federation of American Scientists, working on a range of issues across the science and technology policy landscape. With scientific training at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, UC Berkeley, and Princeton, Dr. Fisher has developed technical expertise in infectious disease research, biofuels, synthetic biology, protein engineering, and molecular biology. He also served as a field director with a congressional campaign, and has worked in informal STEM education and the development of public-private partnerships. Dr. Fisher earned his B.S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.</Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Sharon Benzoni</Name><Description>Technical Editor ~ Sharon Benzoni is a Technical Editor for the Day One Project. Sharon Benzoni works on cross-cutting global issues. In her professional career, she has researched the intersection of climate change and human rights, directed an international affairs non-profit in Iowa, reported on the urban informal economy in Accra with the Rockefeller Foundation, co-founded an online magazine on social innovation tied to the MIT Press Innovations journal, and worked on the economics of aging societies and COVID social response policy in East Asia with the World Bank. She holds an M.A. in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (Bologna, Italy and Washington, DC) and a B.S. in environmental science from the University of Iowa, and completed graduate work in African Studies at the University of Ghana as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. She is also a 2020 Presidential Management Fellow.</Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Kathryn Kohn</Name><Description>Communications Manager ~ Kathryn Kohn is the communications manager for the Federation of American Scientists. She also served a term in government as the Executive Director of the Performance Improvement Council (PIC) and the Director of the White House Leadership Development program. Before entering government she served as the lead on policy, legislation, and communications for several federal employee associations and coalitions, focusing specifically on broad workforce policy and federal career leadership issues. </Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Colleen Chien</Name><Description>Fellow ~ Colleen Chien is a Fellow of the Day One Project and a curator of the Day One Innovation for All and Evidence-Based Policymaking verticals. From 2013-2015 she served as Obama White House Senior Advisor for Intellectual Property and Innovation. She holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Rutgers University and is a master's candidate in City Planning at UC Berkeley. </Description></Stakeholder><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Person"><Name>Daniel Goetzel</Name><Description>Entrepreneur in Residence ~ Daniel Goetzel works at Columbia University where he leads an initiative to expand corporate partnership efforts across the institution. For the past year, he has run a multi-million dollar cybersecurity startup accelerator initiative in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and four New York City universities. Prior to that, he was the Inaugural Director of Innovation and Corporate Relations at Johns Hopkins University.   He started his career working in senior roles for a governor, U.S. Senator, and presidential candidate.​Daniel is also the Co-Founder of Harvard's Transition Term, a fellowship program that supports incoming Mayors, County Executives, and Governors as they transition from campaigning to governing. The program has worked with 21 elected officials and over 60 Havard graduate students in its first three years. During the 2020 presidential campaign, Daniel served on the Biden National Finance Committee and Economic Policy Working Group.
