Within the Sociocracy world, the global organization which first disseminated Sociocracy (The Sociocracy Group, known in Dutch as Sociocratisch Centrum) provided training, consultancy, and certification services for decades. Over time, several distinct traditions (lineages, forks, splinter groups, etc.) split off, and it became clear to some of us that, important as The Sociocracy Group will continue to be for developing and sharing Sociocracy, it does not exist to serve the broad movement to which we feel that we belong.
