We are deeply committed to providing a deconstruction of the education we have previously received and replacing it with the truth. Topics such as history, identity, culture, politics, colonization, foreign affairs, etc. are rarely taught fully or accurately. In order to change the narrative and create the new normal, we need to first reconcile who we actually are and what we’ve actually survived as a people. We educate through social media, interviews, writing articles, giving lectures, panel discussions, as well as organizing other events. We believe if we want to see real change, we need to be educating African people as well as foreign nationals. Those who hold power must be able to recognize when they are causing harm and learn how they can do better. African people need to have their experiences validated and their rights fully actualized. Without proper education, this cannot be possible. </OtherInformation><Objective><Name>Summer Series</Name><Description>Bring together practitioners and activists.</Description><Identifier>_9bf6f1aa-cdee-11ea-a9b9-e6822183ea00</Identifier><SequenceIndicator>2.1</SequenceIndicator><Stakeholder StakeholderTypeType="Generic_Group"><Name>East Africa</Name><Description/></Stakeholder><OtherInformation>In July of 2019, we held our inaugural No White Saviors Summer Series in Kampala, Uganda, bringing together practitioners and activists from all over East Africa and the world.
