It also approvedthe “champions” to be heldaccountable for achieving thegoals, recommended strategiesfor accomplishing the objectives, and process and impactmeasures of success. For the first time, the Boardalso adopted a value statementfor the Society espousing sixkey priorities by which theorganization would like to operatein terms of its membership, employees, the public, and otherstakeholders.SOPHE’s Strategic PlanningCommittee will collaborate withgoal champions, leaders andstakeholder groups to makeprogress toward SOPHE’s goalsand objectives. The committeewill report at least annually to theBoard about the organization’sprogress in achieving the plan.In the future, SOPHE’spriorities may change due toorganizational achievements, newopportunities and unexpectedchallenges.
